This page explains how LilBuz uses cookies and similar local storage technologies. Because LilBuz comes in two forms - a website/web app and a desktop app - the behavior differs, and we describe both honestly.
3.1 On the website & web app
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items:
- Strictly necessary - to keep you signed in, maintain your session, and keep the app secure. The app cannot function without these.
- Preferences - to remember choices like theme (light/dark) and language.
- Analytics (optional) - we may use privacy-conscious analytics (e.g. Google Analytics or Mixpanel) to understand usage and improve the product. These are only set with your consent where required, and you can decline.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell data collected via cookies.
3.2 On the desktop app
The desktop app generally does not rely on web advertising or tracking cookies. Instead, it uses local storage on your device to function - for example, to store your session, your preferences, your local project database, and your workspace files. This data stays on your computer.
3.3 Third-party cookies
When you connect or visit a third party through LilBuz (e.g. signing in with Google, or a connected host like Netlify/Vercel), that third party may set its own cookies under its policy. We don't control those.
3.4 Managing cookies
You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings, and you can decline non-essential cookies where a consent option is shown. Where required, we show a cookie consent banner so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies (such as analytics) before they are set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in and core features.
